Welcome!! I am SO glad you are here. I want you to take a pause, slow down for one second, breathe in deeply through your nose and out through your mouth...Did you do it? Okay, now... recognize and give yourself credit for making it this far. You are strong. You are courageous. You are brave. About The Owner
Angela Pidala has a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional, and Registered Play Therapistâ„¢. She is also the owner of AMP Therapy Center! From the owner ~ "I have a passion for helping women and children as they navigate this ever-changing and often stressful world. Whether as a mother struggling to bond and connect with your new baby, or simply feeling distress with your pregnancy, big life changes such as a new job, divorce, or a loss, life can become overwhelming. It is an honor for me to support women and children through challenges so they don't have to go through it alone. Being able to help provide a bridge in areas of life that seem isolated and stuck, and seeing my clients flourish towards a meaningful life is why I do the work I do. I hope you take the courageous leap to ask and accept help. You don't have to suffer alone. I hope you will take this next step and allow me to join you in your journey towards healing."

About Perinatal Therapy
Women of every culture, age, income level and race can develop perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Perinatal therapy can help! Symptoms can appear any time during pregnancy (even during the pre-conception struggles) and up to an one year after childbirth. There are effective and well-researched treatment options to help you recover. But what really are perinatal mood and anxiety disorders? Majority of people have at least heard of postpartum depression, but the truth of the matter is, most people don't know how to recognize it. And, postpartum depression isn't the only type of distress that can show up during pregnancy or postpartum. Learn more about perinatal mental health by visiting our resource page, and checking out different blog posts!
About Play Therapy
Children are seen in Play Therapy for many different reasons and can include behavioral issues, mental health disorders, or emotional outbursts due to big life changes such as a new sibling, moving, bullying, grief and loss, or trauma. Child-Centered Non-Directive Play Therapy is a modality of child therapy that is evidenced based, meaning there are research studies and data to back up the practice. It is a safe, comfortable and natural way for children to process their experiences, manage their cognitive, behavioral, and emotional challenges, and receive early intervention for neurodivergence. It also helps kids to understand their world around them. Play is the most natural way for kids to communicate, therefore it is also the most natural way for a therapist to meet the child where they are during the therapy journey.
