Online Counseling in Texas

AMP Therapy Center offers online counseling to women who live in the state of Texas. Have you been contemplating getting counseling help, but said...

"This therapist is too far."

"That counselor near me doesn't have any availability."

"I don't have child-care at that time."

"I can't take off several hours of work each day to commute back and forth from therapy."

"What if I get lost? What if I can't get there in time? What if I see someone there I know? What if... What if... What if..."

"I'm too overwhelmed, I'll just look at this later..."

"I don't really need counseling. I can figure this out on my own."

Any of these thoughts crossed your mind? I've heard all of these before. Many people think this way. These barriers can be removed by online counseling though! No matter where you are located, whether in the Texas hill country, North Texas, West Texas, near the Gulf of Mexico or near The Alamo, with one click of a button on your computer, phone, laptop, or iPad, you are seconds away from receiving the support and healing you deserve. From the comfort of your couch, car, or wherever you are!

See you there!

Pregnancy and new motherhood are portrayed in society as a joyous and amazing period. While that can and probably is true to some extent, it can also be overwhelming, exhausting, confusing, and scary. It is not common to talk about that side of pregnancy and motherhood, leaving many women thinking they are all alone or something is wrong with them. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional, I can offer counseling services to normalize those feelings, prepare for delivery and motherhood, and teach coping skills to manage emotional distress or mood and anxiety symptoms. Sessions are offered both in person (at an office located in The Woodlands, Texas, which is north of Houston), or online for ALL women who live in Texas.

Whether we meet online or in person, you will be provided with a confidential and completely judgement-free zone. Our sessions are what you make them and I will meet you where you are. I will teach you coping skills and techniques to help you understand why you may be feeling the way you are, or process tough situations you have been through. I utilize therapeutic modalities and techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. The ultimate goal is for you to feel comfortable, confident, and on a path towards healing. Sessions can be either in person (office located in The Woodlands, Texas just north of Houston), or online for ALL women who reside in the state of Texas.

Do you have a child or know a child between the ages of 3 and 6 years old who is struggling to fit in? throwing uncontrollable tantrums? being bullied at school? struggling with anxiety? having a difficult time focusing on school work? These are all common challenges children may experience that can benefit from play therapy. Play is a natural way children communicate and toys can be used as their words. Play Therapy offers your child a safe and calming space to process through "yucky stuff" they may not have the words or cognitive development to understand or explain. We work from a Child-Centered Non-Directive approach, which allows the child to lead the way as the therapist helps guide them towards a path of healing. Sessions are offered in person at an office in The Woodlands, Texas located north of Houston.
